The 10 tips in here are great and useful for all levels!
This is the conversation I had with Mike when he was still at level 35. I've highlighted the 10 tips. 11:12pm Richard Hey Mike I see your online, playing Mafia Wars late? 11:14pm Mike Yes, It's addicting. But, I need some advice I'm leveling to slowly, and not getting alot of stuff. 11:15pm Richard Dump 3 out of 5 points into energy 11:15pm Mike what? 11:16pm Richard Hold on looks like I need pass out the same info I keep giving others.. LOL Ready for my 10 tips???? 11:16pm Mike Sure, Fire Away! 11:17pm Richard First Tip: When you level up you get to allocate 5 profile points 3 of those profile points should go to energy the remaining 2 points switch back and forth between 2 to stamina on one level and 1 defense 1 offense on the next Right now you are a low level player so when you complete a job allocate it to energy. The Collections will help with attack, defense, health and stamina. I would recommend the achievements go to your defense which you want to be higher then your attack. When your at a higher level your energy should be at least 1/4 of the experience to get to the next level and but earlier on in the game when you don't have jobs that give you 2:1 return on experience to energy you need more energy level So your energy needs to be about 1/3rd the experience to the next level. The reasoning: you will level up 2 to 3 times faster and get 2 times profile points over all.... 11:19pm Richard Tip Number 2: When you fight use attack, not punch or rob and hitlisting is for friends not enemies (I'll explain that another time) Attack drops loot the other 3 do not 11:20pm Mike I haven't been attacking because I always lose... 11:21pm Richard You need to attack there is to much loot dropping there for you to lose out on! Tip Number 3: Always attack people with smaller mafias (preferably half your size or less) you are virtually assured a win except for critical hits Attacks seems to drop loot 1 in 4 or 5 attacks (thats alot of loot) this is Mafia Wars not a game based on fairness, everyone gets picked on, thats why you grow your family and get better loot. Tip Number 4: Always run your stamina first It refills quicker because it is a much smaller amount then energy. Plus the points are variable so you can plan your energy use to level better. so you dont waste any. Now for the really import stuff Tip Number 5: Mafia Wars does not have an energy bank! So save a big job for when you are about to level up This way the experience applies to the next level and gets you through it quicker! This essentially is your enery bank! Tip Number 6: Don't waste stamina or energy by leveling Do jobs which give worse returns, even if it will keep you from completing a job You can always complete the job on the next level, right after you level! Special Tip Number 6a: Perfect jobs to do are the ones that give you consumeable loot, Computer, camera, cell phone, black mail photos, illegal transaction records. You are going to need 100s of them later on so use that energy to get them now. Special Tip Number 6b: The soldier level has the most collection items on them because the 5:5 energy/experience jobs are there. Even after you have vaulted everything on this level you can trade the collection items on this level to others for loot and other collection items. Special Tip Number 6c: The Boss job on the enforcer level gets more and more energy to run and gives the most experience and alot of cash this is perfect to run when leveling up and you have alot of energy Tip Number 7: Install my OptPlay booklet and you can easily figure out where you are leveling. 11:28pm Richard Tip Number 8: Complete lower level jobs first and Master those tiers they are easier and get you profile points Which will let you level faster, plus they give special items that increase your percentages. Cuba Only gives you good loot. 11:31pm Richard Now for 2 VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT Tips: TIP NUMBER 9: Do not use the energy refill unless you are completely out and going to be able to not waste it going to the next level, Also if you know you are going to use the daily energy refill, or the godfather refill on the next level do not run the big job at the end of this level. You are already assured of leveling up quickly on the next level and you can use that energy on higher returning experince jobs which return better loot! Tip 10 and one of the most important ONLY USE THE GODFATHER POINTS FOR THE ENERGY REFILL... let me say that again..... ONLY USE THE GODFATHER POINTS FOR THE ENERGY REFILL... 11:32pm Mike Why they give you other good things? 11:32pm RICHARD I'M DRUMMING THIS INTO YOUR HEAD...... ONLY USE THE GODFATHER POINTS FOR THE ENERGY REFILL... Here's why... at your level an energy refill gets you another level which is 5 profile points Plus it not only gets you the energy for this level it gets you the enrgy refil for the level up and the stamina refill for the level up. Plus you get all the associated loot and collectiables from running the energy and stamina. lets compare it to the other godfather offerings 4 profile points - your getting 5 for leveling Stamina Refill - your getting that by leveling Health refill - once you get a few mafia mikes, money is not an issue in this game, & health can be bought. Additional members of your mafia - Your kidding? There are so many add groups on facebook you can go to place an add and you can have 100 people in a day.. Or just ask anyone on this site and we will add you! Name change - You aren't a member of a clan and need to be tagged (so don't bother) Crates - you will get multiple loot that drops from the energy refill and resulting level up energy refill & stamina that far outweigh any one item from a crate! Right now you are low level and need good items for all your mafia members not 1 great item and alot of sub par/ lousy items.....Even when you become a Master Boss this is still true!!!! 11:34pm Mike ... that makes sense.... 11:35pm Richard Of course it does..
