Answers directly to Director of Development for whole company and reports on project statuses, system configuration and other day-to-day issues. Works with senior staff to compile proposals for future contracts. Interacts with client development and technical support staff on a daily basis. Is involved with the training of client staff and end users. Writes functional specifications, support and user manuals, and other technical documentation for VNS projects and products. Is in charge of all hardware configuration for the Scarsdale facility. Has installed and administers the facility's Microsoft Windows NT network, its Back Office Servers (including SQL-Server) and the multiple-protocol connectivity with other company and client sites (including Remote Access, TCP/IP intranet and ISDN dial-up). Maintains the library of software for VNS. Is responsible for the management of the Corporate Web site and develops sections of its content. Projects involved with included: The creation of a Web Site generator in visual BASIC with a Microsoft Access back-end in order to automate the updating of parts of Digital Corporation's Web site. The design, development, implementation, support and release phases of Videolan Inc.'s premise based videoconferencing system. These required programming in Visual BASIC, Visual C and WISE script as well as interaction and coordination with Videolan Inc. personnel and clients at several locations. The installation of a Microsoft SQL Server with Dial-up clients and the programming of VBA applications for the downloading and presentation of marketing data.

Installed a small local-area network with various operating systems to build a test site. Was involved with marketing proposals, promotion of products and software documentation.

Unidata and Communications, Inc., Flushing, New York, 
Developed software applications in Visual BASIC and C to enhance the functionality of a multi-platform videoconferencing system (company product). Translated Windows functions to UNIX routines (in C) to allow for a common system design across platforms. Dealt with the control of video recording devices from a SUN computer. Researched Internet providers for a high-speed (56K frame relay) connection.

(Cyprus), an AT&T Company, Nicosia, 
Cyprus Contributed to marketing proposals for two large-scale government information systems, the Social Insurance Department computer network and a Cyprus Telecommunications Authority's request for equipment. Performed field engineering services such as maintaining PC's, ATMs and Point-Of-Sale terminals. Visited existing installations such as the Internal Revenue Department and the University of Cyprus computer networks and attended employee seminars.  

COMMUNICATIONS TECHNICIAN 
Cyprus National Guard Was responsible for radio and telephone communications for an artillery unit. Served as sergeant major and supervised up to 23 men. Inventoried stock supply worth more than $100,000. Learned to work in a team, be responsible, take initiative and improvise with limited resources. 

INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT 
Developed a Call Detailing and Reporting software package as part of the company's videoconferencing product. The application produced reports from network traffic data in order to monitor and bill conferencing activity. It was implemented as FoxPro applications. Designed a prototype of a ticket box office system using the Excellerator CASE tool and implemented it with Microsoft Access databases and a Visual BASIC user interface. Designed and implemented a machine system in C to recognize different words and speakers in noisy environments. Implemented various DPCM systems in C for data compression and transmission at acceptable noise levels.
