A member of the front desk's "fast-response team". Responsible for developing and supporting pricing systems for exotic FX options - working closely with the head trader and derivative research fellows to create object-oriented applications to suit their rapidly evolving options pricing needs. Brought on board to create GCOPS, the bank's first object-oriented options pricing calculator for global FX traders, that allowed them to easily price groups of deals 'on-the-fly' using custom market scenarios (user editable volatility/interest rates). Created intellignet pricing objects in C++ which automatically created usable entry interfaces (via Galaxy-based front end tools) - to decrease time-to-market for newly developed exotic options. System was implemented in C++ in the SunOS/Solaris Unix environment interfacing to a Sybase back end using Galaxy-based GUI tools. The system has been in active production for over two years. Core developer of the bank's next generation FX options Internet pricing service, JCOPS (Java Currency Options Pricing System), for use by internal traders, sales team and external web clients. Responsible for specification and implementation of a custom HTTP server (C++, Solaris) which interfaces to a Java-based client front end and to an Open Client (Sybase) pricing service on the back end. Saw the project into its production stage and continue to support and mintain the Java client and C++ server code. INTERNET

Conceptualized and created a content processing server (The Content Engine), to form the basis of a web-based news syndication service business for the Internet startup. The server intellignetly indexes raw data feeds in real-time and re-delivers categorized formatted news and advertisements in a variety of ways throughout the Internet while tracking client usage for providers. System was developed in C and C++ on UNIX platforms (Solaris, Limux). Providers using the synidication service for their web-based news distribution include, The New York Times Syndicate, PR Newswire, Knight-Ridder and others. Serve as a part-time technical consultant; providing advice and technical direction for future projects.   

PROGRAMMING ANALYST

Responsible for recommending object-oriented design and methodology (Booch) while creating tools for the development of Lehman's worldwide document distribution system, DocView (second most widely used internal application). Created automated document contribution application used for document contributions into the system. Software tools and applications were implemented in C++ on SunOS/Solaris environments. Responsible for creating custom interfaces for traders to easily contribute Postscript docements into the system.   

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Designed and implemented production processes for company's financial news distribution. Resported to VP Technology with recommendations on methodologies and inter-process communications protocols for an array of server processes for the company's news production systems from their conception. Implemented client/server processes in a UNIX/Sun environment via System V IPC's and sockets. Servers supported news distribution on provate and external networks (Telerate, Mainstream, etc.). Real-time news production systems have been running continuously since 1992. Used IXI (Motif) development tools to create a GUI environment for a worldwide editorial staff to easily process and manage incoming raw news from 'roving' field reporters in real time. Worker closely with users to design workstation software around the editor's work flow. Built a company-wide 2-way voice communication system working on Sun workstations. Fully docemented all of the systems & performed user training C.   

PROGRAMMING CONSULTANT

Ported a C programmer's tool kit (STYLE) from the PC?Windows environment to various UNIX environments. Wrote user reference manual for programming library.

EDO Corporation, Government Systems Division, College Point, New York, Implemented an object-oriented import/export library for a CASE tool (WASPP) designed to develop DSP software for military sonar tracking systems.
