Founder and president of two applications development companies. Both specialize in multimedia, videoconferencing, and business solutions development with state-of-the-art desktop computer and video compression technologies using applications development tools such as Visual Basic, C++, multimedia authoring, and WEB development tools. Performed business management, marketing and selling to major accounts as well as managed resources through delivery of large projects such as videoconferencing for NYNEX and VideoLan Technologies. WEB, courseware, and database business solutions were developed for major clients such as H.I.S., American Scandia, Course Technology, and Digital Equipment Corporation. 

NYNEX, Cambridge, MA  
Provided program and project management expertise for a large videoconferencing project sponsored by NYNEX and New England Medical Center. Designed and developed the videoconferencing system to be used by doctors for collaborative patient review and for transfer of large MRI and scanned image files across the network.   

VIDEOLAN TECHNOLOGIES, Louisville, KY  
Managed the design and development of videoconferencing software for VideoLan Technologies for the first commercial release of their product. Planned, designed, and developed PC desktop application software for controlling the video switch, gateway (trunks) communications over ISDN and T1 transports, and remote standalone units implementing ImageLink codecs.  

EXECUTIVE MARKETING MANAGER  
DIGITAL EQUIPMENT CORP., MA/NH  
Relationship Manager for Digital's third-party UNIX office products: developed marketing, business, and sales support generating office revenues upwards of $30M. Evaluated new third-party applications to be included in Digital's office product set. Assisted Digital affiliates in business and product management of their products and services.   

APPLICATION PROGRAM MARKETING MANAGER  
Program Manager for the strategy, design, and planning of programs for marketing and selling Digital solutions internationally. Markets included Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering and Telecommunications. Established sales, marketing and field resource strategy in implementing the program, resulting in $250M worth of revenue worldwide.   

COMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY MARKETING MANAGER Business/Marketing Manager for the Communications Industry internationally: managed staff of 12 marketing and sales support resources. Account Manager for large international accounts; i.e., Northern Telecom, Telecom Australia, NEC, Bell Canada, and other Canadian telephone companies.   

MARKETING/PRODUCT PLANNING MANAGER  
Product Manager for Digital's telecommunications product line: included marketing, technical product support, manufacturing plans, resulting in $40M revenue. Account Manager for large telephone manufacturing accounts such as GTE, Northern Telecom, NEC, and Bell Canada.   

PRODUCT LINE MANAGER  
NORTHERN TELECOM, Concord, NH  
Product Manager for applications providing telecommunications and administrative functions to the telephone industry: coordinated engineering and manufacturing departments through design and build. Resulted in 50% growth in company revenues ($4.5M).   

SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER  
GTE INTERNATIONAL SYSTEMS, Waltham, MA  
Managed telecommunications switching lab for international development: directed and planned all phases of equipment design, testing and training. Completed product line resulted in $20M of revenue worldwide.   

ENGINEERING MANAGER  
HENSON RESEARCH CENTER, Columbus, OH  
Directed hardware/software integration lab for communications products. Supervised engineering team, procurement of equipment, and budgets.

Owner/Manager of two entrepreneurial consulting/services businesses integrating desktop computers and video technologies for videoconferencing and multimedia applications design using C++, IconAuthor, and Visual Basic.   

Managed relationships with major accounts resulting in six digit revenues. Project Manager for large NYNEX projects integrating PC videoconferencing, networking, and applications development, including New England Medical Center and U.S. House of Representatives .   

Generated sales strategy and marketing plans on third-party UNIX office products for major computer manufacturer; including mail, graphics, spreadsheets and groupware components. Provided competitive strategies and technical sales support. Managed business of $30 M.

Designed and implemented major international sales, demonstration and customer consulting program for financial and manufacturing customers for Digital Equipment Corporation, emphasizing solutions, systems integration, and applications development. Leveraged millions of dollars in hardware/software sales.   

Marketed solutions for computer hardware and software to telecommunications industry worldwide. Account managed major telephone companies in Canada, Australia, Japan and Far East; revenues in excess of $50M.

Specified, managed and introduced a product line of communications products that generated over $10 million during the first year. Product line became the company's number one seller, resulting in additional consulting, integration, and service revenues.
